Casa Dunas, located on the island of Armona, boasts stunning views of the dunes and the coast line. Located just 200m from the beach, it is the ideal place for a restful holiday in the midst of the Ria Formosa Natural Reserve.
The house has a spacious open-plan kitchen and living area with a large window overlooking the dunes and the sea. It has 4 bedrooms -one of which is en-suite-, 2 bathrooms and an outdoor shower and WC. One of the bedrooms is a small alcove room with access from the outside.
A large veranda with an outdoor kitchen and a built-in BBQ provides a comfortable space for outdoor eating. A south-facing deck with a pergola is the perfect place for reading, sunbathing, a cocktail after the beach or just admiring the sunset.
The island of Armona is reachable from Olhão by ferry boat (regular schedule) and taxi boat. It has three small supermarkets, where all the basic amenities can be found (including fresh bread). There are also a few restaurants, bars, cafés, an ice cream parlour, and a beach bar. All that you need for a relaxing holiday with your feet in the sand.
A 15- minute boat ride takes you to Olhão where you find a large variety of local produce, fresh fish and seafood in the famous daily markets. The town also offers a large choice of restaurants and laid-back bars.
Armona is a car-free island and the perfect place for a supremely peaceful holiday

Note : The Olhão Municipality is currently carrying out public works on Armona Island. As a result there might be some disturbances in certain areas such as machinery working, unpaved paths or temporary water cuts during the work hours. Please contact us before making a booking if this might be a concern for you and we will give you an update of the situation.
